Longfield Hall exists to meet the changing needs of our local community. The Minet family built the hall, which opened in 1889, as a place where the whole community could come together. Longfield Hall Trust is committed to implementing the family’s vision for this. The hall is Grade II listed and is run by Longfield Hall Trust, a group of local community volunteers.

Support us
Longfield Hall is one of Camberwell’s historic treasures. It is managed by Longfield Hall Trust, for and behalf of, the local community. The hall is a community space, available to everyone. We have hirers and anchor tenants, but we also make our spaces available to some groups for free. This costs money as we have fixed costs (such as rent, heating & lighting and cleaning), so we’re grateful for donations to allow us to continue to allow groups, especially those which are just starting out, to use our facilities.
Thank you for choosing to support Longfield Hall Trust by donating today.
We are a charity
As a registered charity, we rely on people like you, who love the hall, either simply as a Grade II listed building or for the activities it hosts, to support us. Your gift will help to ensure the hall, which has been open since 1889, will go on serving local people long into the future.
Dark and Light Theatre
The Dark and Light Theatre was the UK’s first Arts Council funded black-led theatre company in the UK and based at Longfield hall until 1975.
